London is where the Hobo story begins. By the mid-1950s he was already appearing beside Chuck at ballparks and public events, before film carried him to a much wider audience.
The years before that are harder to piece together, and later dogs would also carry the London name, so this section follows the original London wherever we can identify him with confidence.
